Until the ending. It was exceptional unless you read the ending. I am not mad that it was a left you handing. I am disappointed that she could even get so close to writing a phenomenal book, and then she doesn't stick the landing. It was good untill she started skimping on the ending. No detail, no description, and absoulutly pathetic detail on Jonas's and Gabriel's expressions. Sucky end. I though the book, “The Giver” was wonderful… Until the ending.
